The Presentation

The presentation (in English) of Ciudadanos Europeos de Mojácar was held at the Parador on Saturday 17th March to a full house of around 100 people. From left to right at the table, Jenny Hayes, Carlos Blanco, Lenox Napier, Per Svensson, Angel Medina and Klaus on the right.
Per talked of the importance of 'European' participation in local affairs and Lenox built on that with reference in particular to Mojácar. Angel speaking in Spanish (and translated) stressed the necessity of change in local politics and reminded us of his activities at a local level. The three basic strands of the CEM are 'no' to nationalisms, jingoisms and two-classes of citizens, 'no' to corruption and, lastly, a belief in sostainable and controlled urban design and expansion.
